Expensive fancy ways to chalk and talk just like they did back in the middle of the last century but with more bells and whistles.

Watch the costs of electronic white boards
The touch sensitive ones cost a packet plus take up valuable wall space as you cant use them as whiteboards.
There is a better portable solution from mimeo .. Ir and ultrasound to track pen at much lower cost
Also whilst they look good actual real teacher usage is not high.

Why only good ? It seems that once again the hype re. new "toys"
overcomes our critical faculties. They key question to ask re electronic whiteboards is whether they are cost effective cf. other
expenditures e.g the 2 other multimedia projectors that could have been used in two other classrooms at the same time.
The answer is a resounding "NO" in my opinion.
Wait till I have most staff with access to projectors or large display in most classrooms most of the time.
