[Year 12 IPM] RE: Browser wars

I know this is not the time or place for win v pc debates, simply 
because they start out respectable and end up silly (based on 
observation of other forums). However, I think it would be worthwhile 
having a look at http://www.apple.com/macosx/ for the features of the 
new OS coming up from Apple (Tiger) - esp. Spotlight, the search 
feature.

I think it has the potential to change the way we manage files, ie no 
need for separate folders. Theoretically you can dump everything in one 
folder and the indexing system (and "smart" folders) takes care of the 
rest. Would this have an implication for the file management aspect of 
IPM?

Hope the indexing works for the server. Imagine that. "Sir, I can't 
find my file. When? Oh, last week some time. Can't remember where... 
Huh? You've found it already?!"
