Andrew just got more solid details
1200 students school wide.
180 enrolled for year 12
1 class accelerated year 11 doing 3&4
1 class 3&4 IPM
1 class Systems
2 it yr11
So I am happy with that.

At last check I have 3 classes doing IPM about 18 in each
One systems class less then 10
3 classes year 11 unit's one and two
3 Year 10 General It's
4 classes of year 9 Introduction to ICT 20+ in each (up from

In 2005 we had no students doing any ICT in yr 9/10
I have managed to get a new yr 9/10 Multimedia unit up for next
year with about 20 students. I am hoping to get some sort of a flow on
in into Yr 11 IT
Our numbers have been steadily decreasing for VCE IT, IS and
IPM.
In 2005 there was 2 IPM units running, 1 IS and 2 IT and 2006 we
have one of each

Hi all
At my school, IT (or ICT) is in dire straits.
This year, there was 1 IPM class (healthy numbers of
Year 12s and 11s) but no Unit 1/2 class.
In an effort to spark interest in IT, I have introduced
separate semester elective subjects of Multimedia and Programming at
Year 10.
Next year no IPM class, and so Units 1/2 would run, I
had to have a shared class of Year 10s doing the above subjects with the
3 who selected Units 1/2.
We are a laptop school and this may be affecting the
students choice of subjects , but it is just as well or I would be out
of a job.
