[Year 12 IPM] Data vs Information

Data is raw facts about something and contains no meaning.
By giving meaning to the data it becomes information.
Eg. 200400 is data
20/04/00 is information
Meaning can be added in a number of ways - by formatting the data,
manipulating the data or adding more data to the original data.
