An opportunity for free trial:  DigiSkills21

 

For all teachers who are interested in general ICT competency or would just
like to up-skill, this is a great opportunity that may meet your needs.

 

VITTA in partnership with the Australian representative office of the ECDL
Foundation (www.ecdl.com) is now offering VITTA members the opportunity to
gain practical and relevant ICT skills. This course is open to all teachers
and schools in Victoria and is particularly suited to those who want to gain
a thorough understanding of ICT fundamentals.  The course covers 4 Modules:

·         Concepts of Information of Technology (IT)

·         Using the Computer and Managing Files

·         Word Processing

·         Information and Communication – Internet and Email

Each module is approximately 7 hours in duration inclusive of the ¾ hour
exam at the end of the training. Upon completion of the 4 modules you will
receive your ICDL Start certificate. The programme also provides
professional Development credits for teachers and can be also accredited for

Expressions of interest are open for the free trial period (end of May 2011)
for the first 20 participants.

 

Course materials options:

1)      Course materials only option: $60.00 per teacher/candidate

2)      ICDL Accredited version: $92.00 per teacher / candidate. (This
includes registration into the ECDL/ICDL programme and 5 online tests per
candidate as well as the course materials).
