Please find attached your invitation to SYN Media Learning Week:
Teachers Professional Development Series coming up September 6 - 10.

We are excited to be holding a week of free Teacher Professional
Learning in partnership with the State Library of Victoria.

SYN's own education programs encourage students to be 'creators, not
consumers' of media, using radio, podcasting, online video and other
digital tools. Our Media Learning Week draws Victoria's most dynamic
teachers together to learn about the latest tools to engage students in
authentic ways with digital and online communities.

This year's program includes...
* Keynote speaker: Adrian Camm - winner of 2009 Australian Award for
Teaching Excellence in ICT
* Digital Tools for Teachers with Daniel Donahoo
* Engaging VCAL Students through media and digital communication - panel
discussion
* Pimp Your Page - showing teachers how to get the most out of
SYN.org.au <http://syn.org.au/>
* SYN Taster Tour - try all of SYN's Education excursions in one short
tour

All sessions are FREE of charge. Sessions are open to educators, youth
workers, librarians, pre-service teachers and other community members
around the youth and education sectors. Past years have attracted a
range of attendants, all people who are at the forefront of innovation
in education. Sessions will be located at the State Library of Victoria
and the House of SYN, both located on the northern fringe of the
Melbourne CBD.

In the attached invite you can find details of all the great sessions
we're offering during the week. Bookings can be made online (via the
links in the attached PDF) or feel free to email or call me to book in.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me. I hope to
see you in September at SYN Media Learning Week.

Please feel free to pass this invitation along to any of your colleagues
who may also be interested!
