We used to do this many years ago as part of our English/Drama programme - through the Trinity College exam system (from memory) - that may be a place to start

HI Jenny,
This is really big in Malaysia and Singapore. I saw a competition and it was wonderful. I can't remember what it was called. Choral recitation maybe.

Subject: [English] Voice choir
Hi everyone
Last year I was a member of the audience for the Frayne Speech Festival - an annual Mercy schools event. One of the competitions was Voice Choir - where students recite poetry in a team of 18-20 and do it in such a way that they use voice and action to contribute to meaning, It was both fascinating and the better teams were very clever - well choreographed etc.
I am after any resources I can get my hands on for the teacher coordinating our first ever team and suggestions for poems to be used. Last year it was Kenneth Slessor's night ride. I cannot recall the free choice pieces but they were all quite lengthy and allowed for lots of variation in tone, pitch, pace etc as well as physical movement of the choir itself to convey meaning. If you have any weblinks that would be great too - anything I search tends to throw up musical choir - which is not what I am after.
Can you help? If not you someone in your network?
Thanks in advance
