[English] Writing on Seamus Heaney's Beowulf

Help! writing on Heaney's Beowulf.
This text is on the Lit list but I find it hard to know how much the discussion has to be on Heaney's poetic translation and how much the views are Heaney's or the Anglo Saxon Writer. I'd love some opinions.

I'm a newbie to this list so hi everyone,

Our Yr 11 teachers are currently working on the 2011 course outline for Unit 2 English.
We have tried various configurations of the curriculum but we are never completely satisfied with the results.
We'd love to see how other schools organise Unit 2. 
Would anyone be prepared to share course outlines?

A quick reminder - to any VCE English teachers  : Kate Grenville will 
be speaking at the Wheeler Centre to night on
Secret River ( encountering conflict) as well as several new YA 
authors in a PD event organised by Text Publishing .

Pam McIntyre will be introducing the session.  Tuesday 19th   4.45 -
