Val Sutherland, from Box Hill Senior, has written an 'Insight' guide for VATE on Tirra Lirra. She was saying the same thing you are. Maybe that's why they call it 'Imaginary...'? Val will be running a Workshop on this text/context at VATE on 4th August, (I think).

I was a bit disconcerted to re-read Tirra Lirra by the River in the
light of its place in the Context 'The Imaginative Landscape' - there
aren't many actual landscapes in it. Maybe I've been spoiled by Fly Away
Peter! Has anyone had some good ideas about how to use Tirra Lirra?
