[English] Text selection - recommendations?

The novels by American John Green are worth considering for Y10. Looking for Alaska, Paper Towns and one other whose title escapes me but has  Katherine in the title. Although the main character is always male there is always a secondary character, whom the male is attracted to, who is a strong, independent female. Paper Towns in particular.
