We are letting students choose their own issue for oral presentation of point of view but keeping aside 'Public Transport' and 'Indigenous Education' as our possible picks for the written language analysis.

Hi Simon,
Sorry I can't help with the ESL, as we don't have any year 12 ESL at our school. I was wondering though about this years 'Using Language to Persuade' SAC. What issues are you looking at to use? or are you getting the students to choose? If anyone else out there has any ideas please let me know.
Cheers Sophie

Subject: [English] ESL Text 2010
Dear All,
I was wondering if anyone has looked at VCAA Text List for 2010. We're in the process of reading to replace 'Kite Runner' in mainstream. I'm wondering what people were thinking for ESL in 2010 at Units 3 & 4? I'll do Look Both Ways from List A. I'm wanting some suggestions for a second Part A text & Part B text/context. Any ideas?
We only have one ESL student this year. We have four next year.
Kind Regards
Simon Ross
