Dear English Subscribers,
Thank you to the Year 12 V.C.E. teachers who recently showed interest in
participating in my PhD research and to those I have already begun
interviewing. I am still seeking more teachers to be involved. The interview
dates and times can be arranged to suit you. Interviews in the holiday
breaks are fine, if that is more convenient. The interviews are of 1/2 hour
duration. Ideally interviews need to be conducted before term one begins,
but again dates are negotiable. If this the first time you have encountered
an email about the research, please read the original advertisement below,
Once again, thank you to all who contacted me. I am looking forward to
working with you,
Regards, Bree
Invitation to V.C.E. English Teachers
If you are a Unit 34 V.C.E. English teacher in 2010 and you have previously
taught the course, I need your assistance to be part of PhD research project
in Education through Griffith University.
I am researching the teaching of literary texts within the two textual areas
of the course, Creating and Presenting¹ and Reading and Responding¹. I am
keenly interested in teachers¹ stories of practice and I firmly believe in
the importance of teachers own voices reflecting academic research.
Your involvement requires participating in 3 iseperate nterviews, each of 12
hour duration over the course of three terms, beginning late term 4
(negotiable) 2009. These interviews can be arranged at a time and location
convenient to you. Please note, I am happy to conduct interviews in the
holiday breaks near the scheduled terms if that is easier.
If you are interested in participating or would like to know more, please
contact Bree Kitt at kitt.bree.r at edumail.vic.gov.au or 0409389253
