Audience Statement Limiting/Potentially Confusing

I felt the Context Prompt was interesting enough for Encountering Conflict but do have concerns about the description of the intended audience/publication (used for all four Contexts). I feel that many students, (especially the weaker and middle mark range students), would think persuasive and/or expository equates to newspapers and may have been scared away from attempting a more creative text type/writing style because of this statement. Maybe this is what the examiners were hoping would happen? It is a shame that the first time we have seen this fairly specific kind of audience/writing style positioning is in the End of Year Examination.

Cheers,
