Reading is more than decoding the words in a text. Readers who are active 
thinkers interact with the text they read. The aim of comprehension is to 
get readers to think when they read, support them to develop an awareness
of their thinking when they read, and to actively use the knowledge they
gather when they read.

This is the first of a series of two exciting, high quality, connected one 
day conferences!
