[English] Fwd: VCE Lit - Kinsella

Hi,

1. Is anyone out there downloading podcasts, (radio, talking books, interviews) and using them in the classroom or for professional learning? If so I would love to hear from you. I am on a fast iPod learning curve and almost as excited as I was when I discovered the pedogogic value of YouTube. I have found so many wonderful things and begun using them. Please email me if you are interested, particularly if you are in the same boat, or better still one step ahead of me.

2. Our Year 11s need a new text. Any suggestions? We are looking for

 *
a novel (we already have a film, a play and a memoir
 *
we want it to be uplifting or positive (we already have Medea, Beneath Clouds and Night)
 *
I am interested in setting a genre text ie crime , sci fi, fantasy (but this is not a requirement)
 *
we have many more boys than girls (a consideration)
