[elearning] iPad repair and insurance options

Roland,
Based on using an Ipad 2.
We use an apple certified repairer at a fixed cost. $130 sounds right.

This then maintains the warranty on the device, we have had a few repaired through less than reputable people and we ended but with them going faulty again.
In one case the device came back with water in the case.

We don't insure the devices via a company as total cost over the life of the item was more than the item.

Subject: [elearning] iPad repair and insurance options

The cost and options for iPad screen repair seem to vary (as does the quality of service I suppose). I am similarly looking to assemble a parent information sheet for our 1:1 iPad launch for year 7 with some pointers and perhaps with a short list that spans from the best to the cheapest. Planning to do much the same for the insurance options, especially how to add to the home contents policy. Has anybody something similar they could share off-list?
