Hoppers Crossing Secondary College is offering a great position to the RIGHT person.
We are seeking a Director of ICT who will coach our staff in the best implementation of ICT practices - with a time allowance equal to half a teaching load!
Our College has a philosophy of improving teaching and learning through coaching.
We are a 1:1 netbook school (Yr 7-12) and every classroom has a data projector.

Director of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
Leading Teacher (16 x 71 minute period time allowance)
Major Responsibilities
* To support all staff across the College implement the GANAG common instructional model.
* To lead and manage a Performance & Development (P&D) team via individual staff P&D plans, and case manage the Professional Development requirements for staff in the P&D team and liaise with the relevant Assistant Principal in regards to these requirements.
* Lead the college e-learning vision and develop the college e-learning Strategic Plan
* Advise school leaders and implement within the school, ICT coaching as a means of building teacher capacity to improve ICT student outcomes.
* Develop, support and provide innovative approaches to curriculum development and assessment across the school. Lead the work of the Curriculum committee in developing a 'whole school' approach to ICT implementation.
* Model teaching approaches to enhance teachers' repertoire of effective practices to meet the diverse needs of all students.
* Collaborate with teachers to identify strategies to support powerful learning using ICT.
* Engage with teachers in observation, planning and provision of feedback.
* Help teachers to effectively analyse student data and use it to plan their teaching to cater for the diverse needs of students.
* Build Teachers' pedagogical content and disciplinary knowledge in collaboration with KLA Co-ordinators and Directors of KLA Areas,
* Use standards and progression points across domains to support the implementation of VELS and AUSVELS
* Support the use of the Ultranet for planning and delivery of curriculum online
* Support the use of the College Intranet planning and delivery of curriculum online
* Work with the Assistant Principal in charge of ICT and Professional Development to plan and implement an ICT Professional Development calendar for the year. Identify targets and set educational priorities for Professional Development using e-potential data.

* Keep abreast of ICT trends in Education and facilitate the introduction and implementation of such into the College;
* Make recommendations regarding capital equipment needed to further enhance the use of ICT as a learning and teaching tool in the College;
* Work collaboratively with teachers on their planning, delivery and assessment practices to enable ongoing targeted support. Assessment and data analysis are important components for effective ICT teaching and learning.
* Support teachers to access and use a broad range of ICT resources including WEB 2.0
* Work collaboratively with leadership team, teachers - individually and in teams and Computer technicians to support the ICT and Netbook program and initiatives.
* Work in collaboration with the Netbook Manager to ensure the smooth organisation of the Netbook Program.
* Support teachers to take responsibility for the ICT learning outcomes of their students.
* Drive a whole school approach for the improvement of teaching and learning.
* Engage in ongoing professional learning.
* Contribute to school, network and region-based professional learning.
* Ensure that information about the role of the coach is communicated to parents and the community through information sessions with interpreters in an inclusive manner.
Whole School Processes
* Support the implementation of ICT VELS and VELS and AUSVELS domains.
* Support teachers to understand and use the ICT continuum for effective planning, teaching, assessment and reporting.
* Build teachers' capacity to differentiate instruction across the curriculum using ICT resources such as the e5 model and the nine effective teaching strategies identified by Marzano (Classroom Instruction that Works and Using Technology with Classroom Instruction that Works), for planning and assessment.
Other Duties
* Attend and participate in Leading Teacher meetings
* Represent the school at community events as requested
* To act as a Leading Teacher Team Leader for the management of staff Annual Performance Plans
* Perform other duties as determined by the principal
