[VITTA Professional Development]

Dear Colleagues, 

The role of VITTA as an organisation is to promote collegiality, professional learning and the sharing of knowledge. In keeping with this philosophy, VITTA is developing online professional learning spaces. This new development, however, does take time and money. We are currently developing our first community, the VCE Teacher online community, which will provide tutorials, blogs, latest Q&As, resources, information about events, access to the VITTA Facebook page, Twitter, LinkedIn, Diigo, our personal learning networks and other relevant sources. We intend to develop more learning communities once we have this one working effectively. 

VITTA believes in blending learning models to create greater accessibility to learning, particularly for those that can't physically be present. The VITTA online learning community will provide an ongoing and rich resource for teachers. Therefore, VITTA will be offering both face-to-face and online community support as well as online training. 

VITTA will consider setting up a Moodle server depending on set up, ongoing content, courses and maintenance. These decisions are made by the VITTA Committee of Management.
