[elearning] 1:1 which way do we go?

Hi all,
I guess this is one way to get some feedback on how everyone is travelling with decisions needing to be made about how we will most effectively use the Rudd money to fund our projected 1:1 in the not too distant future.

Currently my school has some netbooks, but we don't see them being the tool for the job for many subjects. We are at the start of our journey, having to really boost our network infrastructure before we can even begin to think about getting any extra units, as the system is fairly fragile at the moment.

We haven't explored the leasing options, and would be interested to know how this fits in with the funding model?

How are others structuring/restructuring their plans now we are having to rejig to be 1:1 rather than 1:2?

Hints tips thoughts and ideas would be welcomed
