Check out the visionary video Learning to Change, Changing to Learn which
was created by the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN). The four minute
video, which is at www.cosn.org or on YouTube, is intended to start a
conversation about what 21st century learning environments can look like if
we leverage ICT for learning. In Keith's keynote he will explore what the
research and experience has been around the world with technology in
education, and particularly the critical role of leadership and vision.

Dr Matthew Rimmer, ANU
Matthew will consider copyright battles over Google Book Search, YouTube,
Facebook, the Internet Archive and Wikipedia. He will also explore new
educational endeavours such as the One Lap Top Per Child project, the Public
Library of Science and the Encyclopedia of Life.

More Keynotes in the next ACEC'08 Update.

*A Bit of ACEC History
*ACEC'08 will be the 22nd Australian Computers in Education Conference. From
humble beginnings in 1983 in Melbourne it has grown in size and stature over
the years. ACEC, held under the auspices of the Australian Council for
Computers in Education (ACCE), is a conference run for educational
professionals by educational professionals. Each ACEC is hosted by an ACCE
member association - a state/territory teacher professional association.
These are not for profit largely volunteer professional associations that
exist to support the use of ICT in education.

ACEC'08 is being hosted by the Computer Education Group of the ACT (CEGACT)
- this is the 3rd time that CEGACT has hosted ACEC. ACEC'10 will be hosted
by the Information and Communication Technology in Education Victoria
(ICTEV).
