Sorry for any cross posts, here is some very interesting information about
an ICT study tour being arranged for next year to NZ and USA to take in NECC
by ACCE.

Also, it is not too late to register interest in the 3in6 video award this

ACCE brings you guided study tours to NECC2008: Doing IT differently
June 23 - July 4, 2008

The ACCE now offer a fully escorted, guided study tour to New Zealand
and the United States, including the National Computers in Education
Conference in San Antonio.

This is an opportunity for educators from Australia to participate in a
fully escorted guided tour. The tour will be an opportunity to:

Network with world recognised practitioners
Visit leading schools
Visit significant corporate ACCE partners
Attend NCEC, San Antonio
Dialogue with ACCE contacts from all over the world
Be part of the international delegation to NCEC; and
Be the I in ISTE.
Join the 2005 ACCE Leader of the Year, Tony Brandenburg, ACCE Board
member and current President of ICTEV on a 12 day, intensive journey to
meet influential and contemporary educators, have time to be with them,
join in discussions and attend specifically designed workshops.

Spend time with colleagues in New Zealand, visit Apple in San Francisco,
Dell in San Antonio, have small group time with key international
educators, enjoy the celebration of ICT with 15,000 like-minded
educators, receiving briefings from ISTEs key people, COSNs leaders,
ISTEs international representative, meet and work with other
international IT educators and enjoy two weeks immersed in technology in
education.

Visit schools, explore new technologies and enjoy the experience. 'This
tour is all about meeting people, networking, developing contacts and
communication links'.

- Visit Apple Computer's headquarters

San Antonio:

- Networking opportunities
- Visit the largest international trade show for IT and education
- Meet US education officials
- Meet key ISTE leaders
- Visit Dell Computers.

Expressions of interest (no commitment): 10th November 2007
Confirmation of participation and deposit required: January 2008
Final payment: April 2008
Information and readings: April 2008
Choice of conference program: May 2008

Tour cost
All flights, leaving from the east coast of Australia, accommodation
specifically located close to key venues and tourist sites, on a twin
share basis, transport to and from all sites, conference registration
and attendence at a number of social events (thanks to sponsorship from
IT partners). The price is approximately $5,750.

There is the opportunity to vary the itinerary and return at a different
time or from a different location following the conclusion of NCEC.

A single supplement for accommodation and business class travel is
available at extra cost.

The tour is fully escorted and designed for Australian educators and
educational leaders.
