*TECx - Technologies Education Challenge*
Sustainability is core to Design and Technologies education.
This is a great responsibility and if tackled purposefully, the skills and
knowledge that we teach through problem/project based learning will equip
our students to be the innovative and creative problem solvers that the
world sorely needs.
DATTA Australia has created “TECx”, an exciting national student design
challenge that empowers our students to tackle some of the complex and
challenging issues that have been recognised by the United Nation’s
Sustainable Development Goals.
Please encourage and facilitate as many of your students to take part in
the inaugural year of TECx as possible.
It can be done as an alternative to your normal practical projects as we
return to school and are looking for ways to protect yourself and your
colleagues. Or it can be for continued remote learning or as an
extracurricular challenge for your students who want to be active in making
the world a better, safer place to live.
