[Design and Technology] Design and Tech at Yrs 7 & 8

Hi Katrina

Yr7 & 8 students at Patterson River S C have a Design & Tech class every week, 2 x 49 minutes, for the whole year. Yr8 have the option to do an elective for a semester; there are 2 electives and they can choose both over the year. These are also 2 x 49 min.

Hi everyone,

Just wanting to gather a bit of information on Design &Tech and Digital technologies taught at Years 7 &8 at your schools.

Firstly, do you offer Design & Tech and/or Digital Technologies as a subject at Years 7 and 8.

Secondly, what time allocation is given to the subjects (eg. 3 x 45min periods a cycle).

We are looking to review our Year 7 and 8 program at my school and I would like to see the Technologies firmly embedded so would appreciate any information.
