Hi Jill,
Another thought. Although you are using I-pads. A very quick solution could be on windows 10 computers.
You could get the students to use the 3D Paint (In the latest version of Windows 10). It is very easy to use - no log on - and they can export it for printing. Just have to tell them to stay in the 3D Toolset.

Hi Jill,
We use the student's Office365 Accounts to sign up. (Although we are 7-12). This requires parent permission to create these accounts as their names are stored off the school site.
Most of the other free tools I have used in the past, have either lost support, or been bought out by Autodesk and merged into tinkercad in some form.

Hi all
Our school is looking to introduce 3D printing at Years 5-8 (in a minor way to start with) using iPads. I would like to use TinkerCad as it is pretty accessible for students of this age, but the software has changed from a stand alone app to on-line access. This requires students to sign up to the Tinkercad community and our school is reluctant to allow this (privacy and security concerns). Has this been a problem for any other school? I'd like to know if other schools have faced this concern from their IT department or admin. If so, how have you worked around this, or what alternatives have you used?
Thanks - any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.
Jill??
