*	yes it is a whs concern 
*	yes new rooms get them 
*	rooms which get refurbished get them 
*	yes the dept ed pays only for them in those circumstances 
*	and those only 
*	anything else is a school cost 
*	no, they wont move on that 
*	yes you can try, but they wont budge 
*	even the head of assets management wont budge 
*	the secretary of the education department doesn't want to know 
*	forget the minister, he directs it back to the secretary, and then to the head of assets management 
*	worksafe nsw (formerly workcover nsw) doesn't want to know, unless it has already killed someone, in that case they're looking for someone to charge and put in the paper and the nightly news 
*	it will cost a bomb of money 
*	unless your school is on oil, or have a money tree, bosses will choke on that number 
*	it will not happen 
*	you will be seen as a whinger 

as I said, been there before

Its a mandated WHS Matter go through the WHS committee and they should know the funding path to take

Hi ESNET,

Open call for advice regarding the installation of KEYED power emergency stops for our IA classrooms.

We currently do not have these, but would like some advice on installation.

Who is responsible for paying for these? 

One of the presenters at the conference was talking about having them provided by the department under WHS, and I believe was successful in doing so at their school.

Attached is a picture from our science department, this is the type of thing we were thinking about for all IA rooms.

Happy to take responses on and off the forum.
