HI Taylor

 

Good on you for seeking this information.  

I would try flipping the topic back onto the students and getting them to
source the information.   In regards to cultural designs, may I suggest a
good first step would be a research topic for your students, where the
knowledge is generated within and from the cultural heritage of your
students.  Your students could investigate their own cultural background,
then research the design elements that are synonymous with that culture. 

 

A second step to this is the investigation of works and the alignment of
designers/ or artists that incorporate these cultural themes into their
work.

 

A third and final step would be to then have the students design something
with these cultural themes inspired by the artists/ designers.

Hi All,

I am interested in accumulating any design and tech, multimedia, computing,
design resources such as videos, worksheets etc that include or highlight
individuals (designers, spokespersons, specialists) of indigenous,
polynesian, middle eastern, asian cultural heritage. 

 

I am also looking for resources that highlight specifically women in design,
multimedia, computing, technology roles.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
