[Design and Technology] Fwd: Why Melbourne is the design capital of Australia

Hi all,
This excellent reference from Lorraine Tran leads to an innovative exhibition from April 27 to May 8 in Melbourne Town Hall (corner of Little Collins St) called BLACK BOX DESIGN AND INNOVATION.
Students may take IPod or iPhone (or borrow one from entrance desk) to access over 60 short articles with photos of famous and innovative objects made / designed in Melbourne. All displayed in a semi-dark exhibition room, as part of Monash UniVersity Art and Design faculty contribution to "Melbourne Knowledge Week".
Great for history of industrial design, with major works by inspired designers in Victoria.
