So sad to learn about Sally's passing. As you mentioned, Robin, Sally was a talented and passionate  Design and Technology teacher whose students gained fantastic outcomes as a result of her teaching. Sally did a terrific job in the role of Assistant Chief Assessor and was such a pleasure to work with. RIP Sally.

Sally Johnson’s funeral is tomorrow she died as a result of a brain tumour. 
 
Sally’s was a Product Design teacher at MLC for 25 years in Wood.  She went through Melbourne State College and majored in wood.  A number of her students featured in Top Designs because… Sally taught them and did it so well = design and technical skill.
 
Sally was also the assistant chief assessor for a number of years with VCAA.  She was the gentle voice at the end of the phone when you were “out of range” and in tears because you just couldn’t get it right.
 
She was my friend, made a difference to kids lives and was only 56.  I am crying as I type this.
 
Donate money to brain cancer research as it is a little known cancer and …. My husband died from it only last year.
