[Design and Technology] qualifications

It’s one thing to do the four day course, but there is an assumed knowledge that you know how to use the machines prior to the course. You will still need to be a competent person in DTY to teach the subject.

Just wondering if qualifications for teaching product design have changed. Art teachers are doing the 4 day machinery course at homesglen and then teaching product design (wood etc) is this ok? Will they be covered if anything goes wrong? After information thanks.
