[Design and Technology] Refreshed SAT Assessment Criteria

Attention all VCE Product Design Teachers

If you have not yet seen the refreshed SAT Criteria on the VCAA website, please make sure that you do. See link:

There are a number of changes that you need to be aware of including:

·         Greater weighting given to the marking of the final product

·         A greater emphasis on products being ‘creative and innovative’

·         What was criterion 3 last year (materials and production process trialling) has now moved down to Criterion 5

·         A number of changes in the performance descriptors – including a descriptor relating to the quality of the presentation drawings.

VCAA is holding a polycom session tomorrow at 4pm addressing the SAT criteria – it is not too late to sign up if you would like further clarification.
