Hi William,

Unsure about the OHS implications of using an open bed CNC machine in a school setting..  Need input from other schools if using them. One of the requirements would be to have bump bars alongside bed if leaning over,, what about some sort of cover over unit. We chose to use Roland due to the safety of operation by students from year 7-10 at my college, We use them extensively across all year levels including making PCB's (Printed Circuit Boards) yes expensive, but covers safety as best as practical. Need to think about cutter ejecting (has happened in many industries) whereby cutter breaks and is ejected across work space..  As I said, what are the OHS implications of using an open-bed CNC machine..  good luck with your search..
