Hi Radmila.

Hope your very well. The following are my opinions and most of my collegues have known my view for many years but I will express it again and would be happy to work in a group to put forward a proposal with you. 

As you know, Ireland and some other European Governments and Canada, New Zealand have followed suit.  I think in Victoria education has been neglected for do long. I suggest you approach the state and Federal Governments directly and discuss this with DATTA, VIC also.

For yeas Datta has promoted a free CAD program  but I agree, Solidworks IS industry standard, and compares really well to everything out there.  It is delightful to see more and more small manufacturing in Melbourne use SolidWorks. Its so sad we haven't been so visionary in schools YET.

MAIN point is ALL our tertiary institutions  RMIT, Melbourne, Monash, Swinburne etc in Product Design, engineering degrees,  use Solidworks and it is NUTS that we have RESISTED the uptake for SolidWorks for so long.  I tried initially when I returned to Melbourne 13 years ago and few were interest over the next 4 years.  HAPPILY I think there are about 14 schools in Victoria now and the site license is SO reasonable today too especially compared to a typical schools IT budget!

I'm sure many of us wish you well and you know I am happy to speak for it in Secondary schools if you would like me to be involved as a practicing Solidworks teacher

Algerian Ministry of Education has signed an agreement to deploy SolidWorks? Education Edition software application in technical classes across all of its 550 high schools.
The Ministry has been involved in a series of reforms to align the education system with international norms and increase the effectiveness of foundation courses, particularly in science and math.
The Ministry will deploy 100 licenses of the SolidWorks application in each of its 550 schools and provide remote laptop access to the software for every student.
All schools will be providers of the Certified SolidWorks Associate Exam and Certified Sustainable Design Exam.

Wouldn?t it be great if we could follow Algerian lead and introduce SolidWorks 3D CAD to all schools? Intercad is dedicated to pursue every channel to see this initiative realised in our schools.
