PL_13016 Sustainability workshop for students: Regional

Still places available!

Lots of students are aware of and engaged in thinking about sustainability,
but their understandings are often superficial. 

Getting students to integrate sound sustainability thinking into their
design work can be difficult. This workshop is for students and will:

.         Introduce students to sustainability issues and approaches;

.         Help students to apply these to their design work;

 

Through lots of activities and discussions, the workshop will include:

.         Use of animations, teaching resources and games within the context
of technology classes;

.         Supporting students to make appropriate design decisions and
consider the impacts of their product designs through the use of simple
analysis activities that can be included in their design folios.

 

Suitable for students Years 7 - 10 and VCE Product Design and Technology

 

When: 9.30am  - 11.30am, Friday 10th May 2013

Where: Via Polycom

Cost: $20.00 per student 

 

 

PL_13012 VCE PD&T Units 2 & 4: Essentials, Sustainability and Implementation
Ideas 

This workshop will focus on:

.         Essential information for both units 2 & 4

.         Ideas and strategies

.         Sustainability and how to address it in both units.

 

When: 10.00am  - 3.00pm, Wednesday 29th May 2013

Where: SRC, Carlton

Cost: $160.00 members

           $260.00 non-members

 

 

PL_13015 Sketchup Intermediate

This is your opportunity to develop the basic Sketchup skills you have
already developed.

 

.         Add colour and textures to your models.

.          Dimension models accurately and create 2D elevations for working
drawings. 

.         Use existing models to compliment your designs.

.          Create organic shaped / complex models. 

.         Create an animation of your model.

 

When: Register at 4pm for 4.30 start - finish 6.30, Wednesday 29th of May
2013

Where: Simonds Catholic College, 20 York Street, Fitzroy North

Cost: $88.00 members
