Dear Maths/Science/Physics/Technology teachers and Career Advisors,

It is our pleasure to invite your school to help us celebrate all that is engineering during Australian Engineering Week, 6 - 12 August. Our scope for this years AEW campaign is to showcase and celebrate the role and achievements of the engineering profession in Australia and to promote engineering as the career of choice.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED
We would like to encourage your school to join us to celebrate engineering and learn more about the contribution that engineering makes to the way in which you and I live. Your school can participate by hosting a range of activities during AEW that highlight the positive impacts an engineer makes to our community.

MORE INFORMATION
Please view the attached file for a list of AEW suggestions and a link to register your school activities. Once registered your activity will be promoted via the www.makeitso.org.au/AEW<http://www.makeitso.org.au/AEW> website which will be advertised through multi-disciplinary marketing mediums such as radio, print and outdoor media. Please pass this information on to any of your colleagues that may be interested in AEW.

As the AEW online Calendar of Events will go live in July ALL event submissions must be received by Friday 8 June.

SAVE THE DATE | FRIDAY 10 AUG | DISCOVER ENGINEERING DAY @ Quantum, Macleod West
Discover Engineering Day is a new initiative stemmed from Engineers Australia Discover Engineering schools program. On Friday 10 August Engineers Australia will host a half day work shop aimed at Year 9-10 students who will have an exclusive opportunity to take part in a range of hands-on activities and interactive programs which will give insight into the wonderful world of engineering. To register your schools place at Discover Engineering Day please contact me on the details below. Groups of up to 20 can be taken from each school. Limited space so be quick to call!
