VACANCY FOR DESIGN &  TECHNOLOGY TEACHER AT HUNTINGTOWER IN 2012

After 27 years teaching at Huntingtower, a Co-educational  Independent
School in Mt Waverley, David Fletcher is retiring at the end of 2011 as Head
of the Design & Technology Department.

A fulltime position will be available from the start of 2012 for a suitably
qualified Technology teacher, able to continue with VCE Design & Technology,
and Yrs 7 - 10 Design Technology (Resistant Materials).

Huntingtower has a large, modern multi-purpose Technology Room, OH&S
Certified, with facilities for Wood, Metals and Plastics projects.  An
adjoining Design Studio is available with drawing tables and computers for
design and CAD work.  Middle school classes are capped at 23 students, while
small elective  classes in Year 10 and VCE are offered.

Willingness to support the school's  Christian ethos, and extra-curricula
program in areas such as  drama and musicals would be expected.

The position will be advertised shortly  in "The Age" and on "Seek.com".  A
Head of Department position can possibly be offered to the right applicant
with appropriate experience.
