DATTA Vic PD on Unit 4 June 13th is PL0815DT "Preparation for Unit 4..." and
it is on their website. My understanding is that it will have a panel type
approach with 3 teachers who have had success teaching D&T and that we would
be "sharing" are secrets for success. Well that's what I will be doing, so
I will come prepared with examples of work photocopied, proformas that
worked for me, tricks that worked etc in the hope that we can all get our
head around the changes in the subject and give all our students the best
chance of success - and ultimately make our life as teachers less stressful.
Hello to Hamilton and Monivae - I grew up there and still think it is the
best place in the world. Look after my good friend Sam Scholfield in year
12.

like Melissa I would be interested inattending. Is that the PL0815DT
"Preparation for Unit 4..." course? I attended a PD day last year on D&T
assessment which was very good. Could I get an idea on what would be looked

Unit 4 P.D by DATTA on the GAT day.
Could I suggest that if teachers are struggling with some of the work
required in Units 3 & 4 that DATTA Vic are running a PD Day on the GAT day
(June 13 ?) and it should answer many of the issues and give you a chance to
catch up with other teachers and exchange ideas.
I will be one of the presenters and did have a lot of success last year with
my year 12 D&T class so hope to see you there.

Hi
the evaluation criteria is not used until the evaluation (although you have
to develop the criteria as part of the brief). All of the design options
must meet the specifications (otherwise they are not valid options), but the
evaluation criteria will be used only to evaluate the final product. So, in
my opinion and to summarise, your evaluation criteria are developed only for
the final solution (option). Does that help ??
