[Design and Technology] CAD

I am also interested in similar CAD software for Textiles.  Recently at Richmond Fashion Centre a student said that at his work place, Illustrator and Corel Draw are used.  Any other suggestions?
The Wood department at our school use Google Sketch Up.

I'm interested in any information about Cad/ Cam equipment that may be suitable for school use. We are toying with the idea of setting up a computer aided machine and would like some feedback from those that may have used such equipment.
