Hi Shaalu
Hope this helps.
Evaluation criteria are aimed at the finished product and come directly
from the design brief.
They are then used after the design options are completed and presented
(to a client or end-user for feedback) to help in the selection of the
best (preferred) option.
Once the final option is selected, students write a justification as to
why it is the most suitable, referring to these evaluation criteria and
particularly to the weighting they were given.
No report is required - a justification is - it can be half a page.
Textiles folios follow the same format as all other materials in Design
and Technology.
However, students must annotate each option and this should reflect the
client or end-user's needs or even feedback, hence they should reflect
the evaluation criteria.
If you need more - don't hesitate to ask - I just noticed John's email
too.

Subject: [Design and Technology] Unit 3&4 D&T Folio
Hi,
Could someone please clarify if the students need to write a detailed
evaluation criteria and a report for all design options or just for the
final option?
This is in regard to D&T Textiles folio.
Thanks
Shaalu
