[Design and Technology] Opportunity to be involved in a project (VELS)

Dear colleagues

 

If you are a teacher of Years 9 and/or 10 and would like to participate
in the development of materials that will support students in acquiring
employability skills and have the opportunity to demonstrate, at the
same time, standards in Level 6 of the VELS you can find out more about
this project and register your expression of interest by going to
http://vels.vcaa.vic.edu.au/ Under the What's New section, is a link
'Expression of Interest - VELS and Employability Skills'.

 

The particular unit of work for this project in Design, Creativity and
Technology is called Playful Learning and is based on students
designing, making and evaluating a child's toy. It could have a textiles
or wood/metal focus and could incorporate mechanical or electronic
systems.
