Get Set for a Designer Christmas!
Melbourne Design Market - Sunday, 2 December
It is just a few sleeps until the Melbourne Design Market is back, with an exceptional collection of design and designers gathering beneath the roof of the Federation Square undercover carpark. With a festive market atmosphere, food from SMXL and more than 40 high-quality design stalls, the Melbourne Design Market is the perfect one-stop shop for Christmas.
Due to the event's overwhelming popularity, we have allocated a larger area to each stall holder to ensure space for shoppers. New designers Volker Haug, Kate Hurst and Jansen Lye will be selling their wares alongside established favourites Third Drawer Down, Alpha 60 and Little Salon.
Please remember to bring cash on the day - limited eftpos facilities will be available.
The Melbourne Design Market will be held at Federation Square undercover carpark, from 10am-5pm on Sunday 2 December, 2007. Entry is free. Enter via Russell Street extension or Riverside Walk.
Notions of Nobility - Now Open at The ShowBox Gallery
Melbourne-based design company Lightly is the latest installment in the National Design Centre's ShowBox Gallery. Curated by Melbourne designer, Cindy-Lee Davies, this exhibition focuses on the design processes behind Lightly’s latest range, Notions of Nobility.
It has been selected for exhibition at the National Design Centre to showcase an example of Australian design that uses local manufacturing processes to produce quality, hand made and affordable product.
Notions of Nobility runs until 27 January, 2008. Entry is free.
An exciting new addition to the NDC team!
For everyone who has called to ask, Maureen Devlin, our Communications Manager has given birth a beautiful baby girl, Isobel.
