[Design and Technology] passing unit 3

This is probably a question for Lorraine Tran but feel free to answer. I
have a student who has completed outcome 1 and 2 in unit 3 (with full
marks!)and the majority of her folio (Design and Technology) She has come
down with a very bad case of glandular fever and is not going to be able
to attend school, probably for the rest of the year. Does this mean that
she has failed Unit 3 because Unit 3 and 4 are linked by the folio?
