Thanks for that info Lorraine, it looks great and I'll be taking a trip up to Bendigo on Saturday. Also, the Lab3000 concept is REALLY interesting (I have already signed up for the 16th March event). Great stuff, keep em coming, thanks.

The VCAA provides curriculum and assessment for prep to Year 12. The VCAA is a statutory body directly responsible to the Minister for Education and Training and serves government and non-government schools.
Hi Lorraine
I'm attaching an invitation to an event in Bendigo on Saturday that you may want to forward on to colleagues. I'm sending this to you in case there were people in Bendigo (teachers or particular schools or regional staff) that were keen on Design that you knew of and might want to go to this free event. Designers from the Region and Paul Charlwood, the designer of the baton will be speaking.
Short seminars focussing on Design and Export preparedness for businesses will take place in Bendigo, Ballarat, Traralgon and Geelong, coinciding with the arrival of the Queen's baton in these centres for the Commonwealth Games.
The Design / Export Seminars are free events and part of a larger strategy led by DIIRD. Lab.3000 (centre for excellence in design) is managing this project and its website provides information on the other seminars and events.
