Hi,
I make mine decide for themselves. We discuss pros and cons of each. I point out that lessons makes more sense workload-wise... but what if they work at home as well? How will they know for sure that the Queen's Birthday and sports days are in the right spots? What happens if they miscount the number of days left in the term etc etc.
They usually choose to go with calendar days, as most of them schedule in tasks during the holidays too. Weaker ones will usually rely on someone else to tell them how many lessons are in each term. I usually give them half of the class time each week to work on the SAT once we're in the swing of it.
Hope that helps!

Actually I do day by day - easier than trying worry about what lesson happen when and some so work over breaks.
Week by week is no good as tasks don't fit nicely into week.

Hello :-)
May I please ask a quick question?
When the students map the whole SAT in a Gantt, do they do it by lesson or weeks.
Usually I've recommended lessons.
Just asking, thanks so much,
Litsa
