[Informatics] Audit

Hi friends

I too am in audit land and tearing my hair out somewhat.

I have a few questions I am hoping the more knowledgeable amongst you might be able to assist with, and my audity friends:

1 – Best advice I have is to have the final SAC – u402 – be finished before term 3 ends, thus allowing the small amount of time we have for term 4 to be dedicated to exam prep and study. How long is a good amount of time to prepare for and sit u402?

2 – Is anyone available or willing to take a look at the resources and tasks I have been asked to provide for audit before I sent them in? They are due in 12 days I believe. I’d love some feedback / direction on anything that might be out of place or missing, and am sure there are others being audited would benefit from this also.

Thanks to all – the information that comes via the edulist is very valuable, as a first time year 12 teacher I’d be lost without the support of those who have beaten the path before me.

Hi Vera

I’m with you, having spent hours completing the initial audit, it is disappointing to receive it back again with some vague feedback. It’s definitely not encouraging me to continue…
Perhaps a PD from VCAA on how to complete the audit would be a good idea.

Hi Vera, yes. And still being audited now with Cert III in screen and Media. I was audited last year and there is a study change so guess what???? again! LOL. WOW and I do agree with you. Really difficult and exhausting.. Keep up the good work!! Best wishes

Hi

I was wondering if anyone else had been audited and found that many of the questions are ambiguous and could ask two different things and if when you got your comments back you feel like resigning and never teaching VCE or anything again. When I did my bachelor degree at Monash Dr Abachi who was the head of engineering at the time said that I was stupid doing a post grad in eduation, obviously he was correct. He offered me a double in engineering and I think it would have been less stress full than teaching. Over time the work seems to be increasing, time is limited and the stress seems to be increasing, which causes illness. We are now teachers, psychologists medics which heaps of administrative tasks. I am sure that all teachers take home work, and spend heaps of time working at home as well as at school with little reward. Now I am raving!!

Could I have some comments please. I have been teaching for over 20 years but maybe it is enough. I have been to every major PL feel like I know the study design off by heart but feel exhausted and deflated.

Sorry had my whinge..
