Thanks Roger – I really like that you kept the criteria with it in the same document.

My kids are the same, perhaps even more structure needed, so I did similar.

Attached, if you, or anyone is interested (please remember – I’m a newbie! – I may have gone too far in what I want)

Hi all,

My students need the work to be structured so I’ve put this worksheet together for criteria 5.

Let me know what you all think and please feel free to use it.

Actually no.
Having taught IT for 3 different awarding bodies in the UK each has a different interpretation.
Some require question format, others want statements. Some are very broad others very specific.
I want to do the best by my students and ensure what I am guiding them towards is the expectations-hence my queries.

As a solo teacher in the first year of delivery, I have previously found this forum to be really helpful and full of positive feedback, advice and support.

Subject: [Informatics] evaluation criteria

Hi all

The first row of criteria 5, is looking at evaluation criteria for 1. Assessing the design and 2. For evaluating the effectiveness of the MMOS.
So I have some queries.

  1. Are teachers asking for 2 sets of criteria? (it seems to me one set would be able to cover both aspects) it is just one of 5 rows in this criteria.
  2. How many criteria are you looking for?
  3. Does anyone have any examples? Eg if students wrote something like ‘the solution offers at least one feature to support users with particular needs’ is that too broad? Would a criteria such as ‘user with visual impairments can increase the font size’ be better? What about ‘homepage loads within 3 minutes’ or ‘all images are less than 100kb’?
Thanks all, I’d love to get some feedback.
