Indeed, this is a dilemma.

According to this 
(https://www.statista.com/statistics/420391/spam-email-traffic-share/) 
spam has declined from 70+% Jan14 to 62% in Sep16 in volume of total 
email traffic.

In the end though, I do think that embracing disposable email addresses 
can be a useful tool in hampering spam propagation.

What would be good is for there to be an international standard adopted 
that, companies offering disposable email addresses, route all email 
traffic to honeypots after the expiration date [say] 10 minutes. This 
will help in identifying spammers.
