[Informatics] RDBMS Choices

I got them started the year before with some SQL homework using the Khan
Academy Tutorials .. I then moved to using Libre Office Base (letting
students peek at the SQL code under the hood), I only had a hiccup with
adding an auto-calculated primary key.

The Linda.com tutorials for Base did the trick for getting them up to
speed. If your school doesn't have a subscription to Linda.com then check
out the local library as your students could access it this way. If anybody
wants to look at some of my video tutorials, drop me a message off list and
I would be happy to share. Not my best stuff but it got us across the line.

Afterwards I got a thumbs up from friends in industry for starting with SQL
and approving nods from the students who would occasionally pause to check
the code being generated by Base.
