If the students don't use one of these then I believe they are making life very hard for themselves.
That said - what I'd encourage the students to do is note the Harvard style with a test case on Monash Uni site
http://guides.lib.monash.edu/citing-referencing/harvard
Then try to type the same test case in using an autogenerator. If the autogenerator is word perfect then you should use it. If it's not, then it's not accurate enough and you should find another.
