[Informatics] How many records for a data set?

And my two cents….I guess we’ve got to keep in mind that Unit 3 / 4 Informatics is, in most cases, just one of 4, possibly 5 subjects that these young people are doing and there’s only a limited amount of time to get ALL their course work done.

There are some statistical rules that describe what levels of confidence you can ascribe to inferences based on the sample size. Any good statistics text will help you there. I suggest you Google "sample size confidence limits" or something similar.

A common fault is to make a sample too large for the question.
