I've run the assessment as one "task" with two parts. I've stated it is one SAC task in my audit questionnaire, and also to my students.

I have gone with the latter as they are part of the same outcome and same case study/design brief.

Subject: [Informatics] SAC tasks clarification

Hello all,
Just wondering, just seeking a point of clarification. Unit 3 Outcome 1 has one SAC in two tasks: the first part worth 90 marks and the second part worth 10 marks (see attached image).

Do you define these as U3O1 SAC 1 and U3O1 SAC 2? Or is it U3O1 SAC Task 1 and U3O1 SAC Task 2? (I’ve always gone with the latter)

The audit questionnaire asks: How many SAC tasks will be used for the assessment of Outcome 1 in Unit 3?
Is this a trick question? I imagine the answer is and always should be “2”, but the audit gives multiple choice of 1, 2, 3, and "4 or more”.

Do people interpret this question differently? I guess you could break the SAC into smaller sections and call them “tasks", but I’ve always found this a tricky endeavour administratively.

Michael
